Bowden beforehand served as Senior Director for Development on the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute for Bioethics. With greater than 19 years of experience in development and strategic leadership, Bowden will help information Carey’s fundraising and alumni relations actions. He will begin his new position at Carey on November 15. “As a growing faculty we now have a tremendous alternative to engage with our active alumni group. Greg brings a wealth of experience to the Carey management group and will keep us on our path of progress and success,” mentioned Bernie Ferrari, dean of the Carey Business School. Bowden joined Johns Hopkins University in 2010. During his tenure with the Berman Institute of Bioethics, Bowden managed fundraising efforts and served as a part of the administration group for the Johns Hopkins: Rising to the Challenge Campaign. In si x years, Bowden helped to boost almost $30 million, highlighted by a $4.5 million present to endow the directorship of the Berman Institute. Before coming to Johns Hopkins, Bowden served as director of development and director of the Greenwood Genetic Center and government director of the South Carolina Birth Defects Foundation, which supplied diagnostic providers, scientific care, research, and graduate training round genetic problems. Bowden also held fundraising leadership positions with Corporate DevelopMint, Custom Development Solutions, and the Catholic Diocese of Charleston. Bowden graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in organizational management. He additionally has a graduate certificates in nonprofit administration from Johns Hopkins. The Carey Business School was established in 2007 with a philanthropic present from William Polk Carey.
